Tea & Sympathy by Jars of Clay

I always get teary eyed when I hear this song by Jars of Clay. For me, this song is about not giving up on someone you love and that there is always hope for everyone. Haaay!

"Tea And Sympathy"

Fare thee well
Trade in all our words for tea and sympathy
Wonder why we tried, for things that could never be
Play our hearts lament, like an unrehearsed symphony

Not intend
To leave this castle full of empty rooms
Our love the captive in the tower never rescued
And all the victory songsSeem to be playing out of tune

[Chorus:]
But it's not the way
That it has to be
Don't trade our love for tea and sympathy
'Cause it's not the way
That it has to be

You begin
And all your words fall to the floor and break like china cups
And the waitress grabs a broom and tries to sweep them up
I reach for my tea and slowly drink in

'Cause it's not the way
That it has to be
Don't trade our love for tea and sympathy
'Cause it's not the wayThat it has to be
Don't trade our love for tea and sympathy

So fare thee well
Words the bag of leaves that fill my head
I could taste the bitterness and call the waitress instead
She holds the answer, smiles and asks one teaspoon or two

[Chorus x 2]
Don't trade us for tea and sympathy
Don't trade us for tea and Sympathy
We can work it out
Don't trade us for tea and Sympathy
Don't trade us for tea and Sympathy
We can work it out
Don't trade us for tea and Sympathy
We can work it out

FLOOD by Jars of Clay

I'm so much in love with this Christian rock group Jars of Clay. This group was introduced to me by my best friend Honey when we were in 2nd year high school. Flood was the first song I heard and I know many people with problems can relate to this song.
Enjoy the lyrics!

"Flood"

Rain, rain on my face
It hasn't stopped raining for days
My world is a floodSlowly I become one with the mud
[Chorus:]But if I can't swim after forty days
and my mind is crushed by the thrashing waves
Lift me up so high that I cannot fall Lift me up
Lift me up - when I'm falling
Lift me up - I'm weak and I'm dying
Lift me up - I need you to hold me
Lift me up - Keep me from drowning again
Downpour on my soulSplashing in the ocean, I'm losing control
Dark sky all aroundI can't feel my feet touching the ground
[Chorus]
Calm the storms that drench my eyes
Dry the streams still flowing
Cast down all the waves of sin
And guilt that overthrow me
[Chorus]
Lift me up - when I'm falling
Lift me up - I'm weak and I'm dying
Lift me up - I need you to hold me
Lift me up - Keep me from drowning again

iTALianni's

At long last, I found Itallian's in Greenbelt. I wanted Tal to try their fish and salads since we both said goodbye to pork and oily food. I chose Italianni's because Tal has not eaten
in this restaurant. Knowing Talent he would not choose any restaurants here in greenbelt just to have dinner. He's a little "kuripot" but since I was the one who decided on where to eat then so be it! It's a good thing he enjoyed his fish and salad but most of all he enjoyed the taste of bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. PRICELESS!

MAKATI

Last month, Tal and I went to Makati for a change. We used to go to Trinoma or Sm North if we want to relax or have a new gastronomical experience. Makati has changed big time! It bacame more fashionable and alive especially at night. We enjoyed strolling along all the malls located in that area plus the weather when we got there was simply perfect. It's not just Makati that has changed but also the people. The people I've seen there are glamorous and very sophisticated. Before, when I was in elementary I used to frequent this fascinating place with my cousin Erika. The Makati I knew was very simple but busy, adult like and very professional. Now, it's like the fashion capital of this country.
Well, that's Makati!
