Tala's first vacation in Jaen, Nueva Ecija (without mommy and daddy) :-(

October 29, 2013

Yesterday, we went to Jaen, Nueva Ecija with Tala and her two cousins to visit tatay and nanay and for the kids to spend their sembreak. Tatay's house is improving and now has a second floor with two bedrooms and three beds. the sala is so spacious i know Tala would enjoy walking and dancing there. My now big girl Tala is enjoying the view from her bedroom. She sees vast land and trees which some have been uprooted due to the recent storm Santi. When she saw her ate Hannah on the bike she also wanted to ride but inside the basket in front of the bike. In the pictures, you will notice she's not smiling or even excited but deep inside i know she is enjoying and that she is ninanamnam ang experience nayon! I miss my baby Tala. Although she's a big girl na, she will always be my baby.

Tala excited to see the view from her bedroom window

She really does love her kitty cat slippers

Welcome back Melissa

I was so excited to see Melissa last friday for our dessert date. We bonded over turtle cake, mango cake, devils cake, ice cold water, coffee and malunggay drinks. We shared stories, laughed and laughed especially when I screamed on the top of my lungs when I saw my little Dixon "Hermano" dolly. Oh that really made my night and of course the company of my good friends, Katch and Melissa with Wed. :-)

Happy Food

Last October 18, my balik bayan friend Melissa invited me and Katch for a catch  up dessert at Banapple in il terrazzo building, Timog. While I was waiting for them to arrive, I noticed a good looking building opposite where I was. Since Banapple was jam packed, we decided to try what's in that very attractive building. The buildings name is Pos and there we found this newly nested resto called nomnomnom happy food.

Nomnomnom happy food serves a variety of unique dishes that will truly make you happy. They have appetizers, soups, salads, pizza, pasta, meals with rice and desserts.

My Wish List Re-visited

Remember my wish list last September 14, 2012? try visiting this link:

A few months ago my ate Anna hand me down her old iphone 4 for she received her new iPhone 5. Years ago, she gave me her Blackberry (i forgot which model) but sad to say i kinda broke it so i returned it back to her. Last year, i bought myself an iPod so i can use it as a mini computer to check my emails and to take pictures also. Since i have my new iPhone gave my iPod to my hubbyLents.

What i'm trying to say is that i simply got majority of my wish list this year and i am so thankful for it. I just hope i learn to take good care of these gifts.  I also got a new black bag, a colorful bag(figliarina) from my mom, organizer a.k.a filofax, a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and lots of clothes and knick knacks for baby Tala!

Tala's new shoes

A few weeks ago my husband and I decided to buy Tala new pair of shoes. One for her pagsamba and one for pampasyal. It was a little difficult finding her girly girl shoes because her feet's too big an fat. The sizes available at either too big or too small. We decided to buy her rubber shoes first since most of the rubber shoes have adjustable straps it's easier for Tala to try them on. We chose a grey with a touch of pink rubber shoes for her.
At last after a long search we saw one last pair of grey girly girl shoes that fits her. Hurray! She now enjoys wearing her new pair of shoes every time she catches her morning sun with me. And when she goes pasyalan with the family!

Gastronomically Mobile

Two weeks ago, one of the student organizations from our college invited two  food kiosks. One was a Shawarma van and the other was a Kombi type kiosk.
Let's start with the former. I tasted the shawarma rice and it was good and satisfying but it's too pricey for our elementary and high school students. The lowest price for their shawarma is 85 pesos hence with that amount our students can have two servings of rice, two viands and a drink. The shawarma van kiosk lasted only for two days.
Now with the Kombi sausage kiosk. Personally I enjoyed their sausage sandwiches. I tasted two variants. Although it's served as a burger type the goodness, tenderness and the juiciness of the sausage is still there.
It's also pricey but at least they serve free iced tea.

Reviving our third floor room 💘

My hubbyLents and I need to remove this one giant clutter in our third floor room (picture at the center). We need to throw out all knick knacks not being used for at least one year. This room is set to be a work place and a lounge area for us and a future room for our Tala. The humongous sofa is perfect for our movie time. Tala's kiddie pool we can put that outside. At least all my important books are now in place in the study table. 💘💘

SunDate 💘

I really enjoyed our shopping date last Sunday. Tala was glad ate Hannah went with us. They both got new pair of shoes! Merienda at Dulcinea was delightful! We so love the churros con chocolate! Yum! Yum!

(Belated) Happy Birthday Tala Amzi Marie

This blog is 25 days late! Sorry my baby!

Our baby girl Tala celebrated her first birthday at Shakey's Ever Commonwealth last April 20, 2013. We decided to throw her a party in advance 'cause my husband and I will be in Pangasinan for our faculty development from April 25 up to the 27th. Tala's birthday is on the 27th.

Tala's party started with her guests singing to her the Happy Birthday Song then on with the games which her little guests enjoyed. After the fun and games, we all had lunch, rested a while then continued with the program which was the Magical Program. The kids and the adults too enjoyed the "tricks" made by the magician. It was funny and fun!

Over all everyone had a blast at Tala Amzi Marie's party (especially the parents)! We're very thankful to all our family and friends who shared their time in celebrating Tala Amzi Marie's first birthday party. She may not remember any of this but my husband and  I believe that first birthdays should be memorable, fun, awesome and beautiful. :-)

Year End Activities

Graduation

At last! We know we did something right if one of our year end activities like the graduation had ended successfully. Although we only had less than five days of practice, the students were able to pull it off with flying colors. We are so proud of you graduates batch 2013!

Recognition

Every quarter we recognize all the best students regarding their academic performances but on the last quarter the students' co curricular achievements were acknowledged too. The students were not the only ones excited but the parents as well.

I was busy with the certificates and medals I was not able to take pictures of the awardees. Sayang! 💘✌😞

Moving-Up

This is probably the most exciting occasion for me at FERN. The Moving-Up ceremony of our pre- schoolers. Yearly I make sure to attend our students' moving up. I am so impressed on how they behave properly and follow instructions. I can't wait for our baby Tala to experience this ceremony.

Sadly this year I was not able to finish the moving up ceremony because I was busy preparing for the graduation. Ay, sayang again.

April is nearly here!

Tala goofing around
Oh my! Oh my! What to do? What to do? April is just around the corner and I still am not prepared for my baby Tala's first birthday party! What would be the theme? How many guests should we invite? What food will we prepare? What would be a great give away for the kids? I think the best thing to do is to plan NOW then blog about it LATER! Ciao!

FEU-FERN JS PROM 2013

It’s the month of love again. People all over the world celebrate one special occasion during this season. Valentine’s Day! Almost everyone make a fuss during Valentine’s Day. Husbands and boyfriends prepare romantic surprises to their loved ones like delivering flowers and chocolates to their wives/girlfriends workplace, having a candlelight dinner for two in a 5 star hotel or going on a simple movie date. But at FEU-FERN, the month of February is the busiest. We have the founder’s week, the sport’s fest, Math fair and of course the occasion where our third year and fourth year high school students celebrate their Valentine’s Day (based on my opinion)… the JS PROM!

Last February 10, 2013, we had our Junior Senior Promenade at the Crowne Plaza, Ortigas. The stage and dance floor were all set and perfect. The par lights were extravagant. The food was sumptuous and refined and of course our students, the Juniors and the Seniors were all stunning and well groomed. It was not only their looks that defined them but also their ways. They enjoyed the photobooth and the taking of their formal solo pictures, the processional with their partners, and their dance rendition of salsa, boogie, tango and rumba. One of the highlights of their JS PROM is the crowning of Prom King and Prom Queen and this years Prom King and Queen are both seniors namely Jeson Delfinado (IV-NOBLE) and Sisley Ayers (IV-NOUS). For the first time we gave a surprise award which is The Best Dressed Teacher and it went to teacher  Lea Lumapas.

The night was filled with joy and excitement. The program went smoothly. We started on time and were able to finish at the expected time. Everyone was able to go home early. Thanks to the Master of Ceremony that night. Now, who could that be? ;-)

Sports Fest 2013

It's February and it's not just the month of hearts and love! It's the sports fest of FEU Diliman! Yearly all of our students showcase their talents in cheer dancing, Pinoy games and field mass demonstration on the different sports and dance routines. I just hope that everyone remembers the essence of sportsmanship in this years sports festival.

Our baby Tala turned 9 months last January 27th. A few days after turning 9 months, she started to walk. My husband and I were surprised to see her walk then run. Oh my! Taking care of her has become more and more challenging but I thank God for that "advanced" milestone.

Movie date with friends

Me and my close friends from work saw Les Miserables last January 18, 2013. Before watching we had dinner first at Sumosam and had dessert at Krispy Kreme. I was so excited to go out and watch a movie with my friends after so many ages. The movie at first was depressing from the first scene up to the scenes of Anne Hathaway. I was telling myself, what am I doing here? I was beginning to regret watching this movie but after that it was all good and exciting. The best part for me is when one of the characters sang On My Own. Now I know why people would remind others especially in FB not to sing inside the movie house because you will really be tempted to sing it with her. It’s a good thing I was able to control myself.

I hope my movie date with friends would not end in les Miserables. May we have more movie dates to come and hopefully  soon.

Tala @ 8 months

-->
Our baby Tala is turning into a little “bata”. She loves to do different kinds of activities like making sounds with the use of different objects, fools around and play peek-a-boo with me and daddy. I noticed that she is now eager to walk. She can do two to three steps now then falls once you acknowledge her. She never fails to show us new and different tactics every day. Her diet consists of breastmilk, formula milk and solid food. As in solid food! She now eats kanin and ulam like a big person and not like a baby. Oh my! I think I’m missing out on some of the milestones happening to our baby Tala. Never the less, at least I know she is always in good hands whenever we are at work.
As seen from my previous blogs, Tala celebrated her eight month in Baguio City which made it extra special because we celebrated it with our relatives there. Although it was 11 degrees when we were there, Tala enjoyed the weather big time. She slept soundly without interruptions. And there’s no need for us to use a fan or open a window.
At eight months, we can really say that Tala is showing advanced skills based on the info that I got from the internet and also based on her pediatrician. Well, it’s no surprise to us that she possesses those kind of skills ‘cause her daddy Tal, when he was a toddler was also advanced…super advanced actually! I just hope and pray that in the future, it is not just her physical and mental skills that would help her advance in life but also her spiritual maturity and growth as a true Christian.
